Andy Bramante, Esq. is the Senior Associate Attorney of the Meyer Law Office. He practices broadly in immigration law and removal defense, handling much of the firm’s appellate and motions work. Since joining the firm in May 2017, he has focused on challenges to governmental abuses of power, Fourth and Fifth Amendment issues, and the rapidly evolving area of crimmigration.
Before joining the Meyer Law Office, Andy practiced with Rosner, Ortman, and Moss out of Cleveland, a premier Midwest employment-based immigration law firm for which he developed a removal defense practice. Prior to that, he practiced removal defense for several years with Margaret Wong and Associates, LLC in Cleveland and New York. While in Cleveland, he was the Adjunct Professor of Law at the Case Western Reserve University Law School, charged with restarting the school’s immigration law clinic in 2016.
Andy is admitted to practice by the Ohio Supreme Court, the Sixth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for Colorado and Northern Ohio. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Case Western Reserve University and Dartmouth College.
Prior to his legal career, he held various marketing and finance positions in IBM Corporation, ran the development operations for a ten-state Jesuit province, taught mathematics and administered a Jesuit high school, and taught as a volunteer on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. He first learned Spanish organizing summer social justice immersion trips for U.S. high school students to the Dominican Republic and volunteering his time with grassroot immigrant groups throughout Ohio.
