Zachary Sanders, Esq.

Associate Attorney

Zac recently joined MLO as a Senior Associate.  He has been practicing immigration law for twenty years.  He regularly practices in immigration court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, USCIS and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.  Zac enjoys delivering presentations on immigration law to community groups, religious houses of worship and to general audiences.

Most recently, he was the Immigration Legal Services Director of Catholic Charities of South Western Ohio. He led a staff that served low-income immigrants in SW Ohio and Northern Kentucky on a pro bono basis.

Previously, Zac was a sole practitioner of immigration law in New York City for 12 years. The office provided quality, affordable immigration representation to a population underserved by the legal profession.  He has handled a wide range of immigration cases except with an emphasis on removal defense, asylum work and family immigration.

Zac is a long time member of the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  He has worked with City University of New York Law School, the Community Legal Resources Network, and the Refugee and Immigrant fund.  He was also a staff attorney and Board Member of Central America Legal Assistance in Brooklyn.

Zac graduated from the Cardozo School of Law and the University of Oregon. He was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and has lived in New York City and Queretaro, Mexico.  He is new to Colorado and is enjoying discovering the beautiful local hiking trails.  He lives in Westminster with his wife and daughter.
